what a week.. european champions. who could have thought of it at half time.. trailing 3-0 to a great milan side, only to come back to make it 3-3 and win the european championship on penalties.. woke up in camp to watch the match, despite having a "relaxed" training programme of SOC, BAC and 2.4 run the next day.. it was an unofficial night training for my coy.. at half time 3-0 down, many from my section and platoon went back to sleep, thinking that it was all over for liverpool.. honestly i also thought so, but die die i had to watch finish the whole match, hoping for a miracle of some sort.. from more than 10 pple at the begginning of the match, only about 8 hardcore liverpool fans remained to watch the second half.. i was telling one of them about the fulham match when they were 2-0 down at half time but came back to win 4-2.. but he just said how can i compare fulham to milan.. aniwae, 54 min.. gerrard heads a goal in... 56 min.. smicer drives a long shot in... i was so high that i ran back to my bunk and started shouting " eh liverpool 3-2 liao.. quick come back to watch..." in the process, i woke up almost the whole section, even those who had no interest in soccer.. haha they must have been cursing me.. together with those who were watching the first half we went back to the mass room full of hope.. 60 min.. penalty awarded and the rebound scored... we were all hoping for 1 more goal for a direct liverpool win so that we could go back to sleep and not watch extra time.. but it was not to be.. extra time was boring other than the double save by dudek... when it was down to penalties, it was almost reville time and the mass room was filled with at least 40-50 people.. at this time, it did not matter if we were caught by the commanders for watching the match animore.. with each penalty scored by liverpool and missed by milan, loud cheers filled the room.. when dudek saved from shevchenko, screams filled the room.... YEAH LIVERPOOL ARE THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS!!! defying all odds, they have done the impossible.. who would have given them a chance even before the milan match, not to mention at half time.. the fightback of liverpool realli displayed the spirit shown in the lyrics of the club anthem YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.. the only regret was missing the prize presentation as it was already time to fall in for a long and tiring day..
