singapore vs myanmar.. what a match.. the passion u feel when u are cheering for your home country can never be replaced by any other feeling... but this match was even more special because of some crazy antics by the myanmar players.. who can forget the water bottle thrown at subramani by the myanmar reserve keeper from the bench... the crazy goalkeeper and defender ganging up to punch the singapore player... and one mad sub racing to the field wanting to fight.. probably the subs were too bored on the bench and wanted some action on the field.. not that all myanmar players lacked sportsmanship, it was only those few black sheeps that spoiled the match though..
singapore did not disappoint the fans who turned up for the match despite the pouring rain which went on since morning.. they put up a battling performance despite going 2-0 down to win 4-2 in extra time, although it took a stupid sending off by the myanmar player to start things going.. with each goal singapore scored, kallang stadium erupted.. 4 times in total.. after the match, the singapore players acknowledged the fans, while the fans applauded the players back.. the tiger cup fever is on... where else can u find an event that would make about 30,000 singaporeans spam vulgarities and obscene finger signs which i do not personally understand.. roar on to clinch the tiger cup trophy lions.. just bring it
btw, however intense the match was, there was something even more interesting seen at the stadium... those sitting around me shld know eh..
